ASSOCIATION EUROPÉENNE DES AGENTS ARTISTIQUES
The Association Européene des Agents Artistiques (AEAA) was founded in Paris in December 1947 by a group of artist managers, concert agents and impresarios from five European countries. The principal reason for the meeting in Paris was to establish an official professional organization in their field which would enhance the public status of their business. The founding members of the new Association called originally “Association Européene des Directeurs de Bureaux de Concerts et Spectacles” included Johanna Beek, Maurice Dandelot, Harold Holt, Frederic Horwitz, Charles Kiesgen, Geza de Koos, Michael Reiner, Walter Schulthess, Marcel de Valmalete.
The first Président was Harold Holt, followed by Wilfrid van Wyck, Helmer Enwall, Maurice Dandelot, Michael Reiner, Gaston Ariën, Hans Schlote, Herbert Droz, Klaus Menzel, Marie-Anne de Valmalete, Patrizia Garassi, Hans Ulrich Schmid, Pieter G. Alferink and Patrick Garvey.
The AEAA has over 90 members from almost every European country. The Association presents an annual General Assembly for its members, often combined with round tables presenting outstanding guests and speakers. These meeting have been convened in all principal European cities.
The AEAA office is located c/o Concerts de Valmalete, 7 rue Hoche, F-92300 Levallois Perret, France.
